The only significant performance issue I've had since I first upgraded to Win 10 is Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash Player. Its updates do not install correctly or can not be updated at all by Win 10. I've tried manually downloading and updating from Adobe with no better luck. When it installs at all, it runs as cripple ware, loaded with error messages and with only a few of the services that should be available to me. It fought with Windows Defender and now it fights with McAfee. Windows 10 just recently updated successfully -- except for two Adobe components. This time Adobe hung up Windows restart and it took 30' of fear and multiple restarts to get past the Adobe wreck.
I now want Adobe off my PC. Will there be a problem if I uninstall Adobe Reader and Flash Player? Do I have to buy a replacement and do I need to do that first? I'm unclear about the sequence of actions on something that's so internal to so many Windows processes.
